Grand Concert by Morgan’s Men Program
- Title: Grand Concert by Morgan’s Men Program
- Date: 1863
- Description: Drawing of three performers on stage, one with a violin, one with a banjo, and one dancing, advertising a concert to be performed by Confederate prisoners of war from John Hunt Morgan's cavalry at Camp Douglas. They appear to be performing the minstrel song "Old Robert Ridley." Text underneath describes the program.
- Historical Note: Camp Douglas was a federal prisoner of war camp near Chicago. After the surrender at Fort Donelson, many captured Confederate soldiers were sent to Camp Douglas. Although poor conditions in the camp contributed to the deaths of more than six thousand prisoners by war's end, this entertainment program suggests that some spirited soldiers engaged in activities intended to bolster morale at the camp.
